Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is designed to be the most flexible and robust Windows Server operating system to date. Windows Server 2008 provides powerful improvements to the base operating system over Windows Server 2003. Notable improvements include those to networking, advanced security features, remote application access, centralized server role management, performance and reliability monitoring tools, failover clustering, deployment, and the file system.
Note: this is an add-on license; it is not a stand-alone product. This authorizes an additional 5 users to access your Windows Server 2008 software. Purchasing User CALs might make more sense if your company has a need for employees to have roaming access using multiple devices. Device CALs may make more sense if your company has multiple-shift workers who share devices.
